ONLINE SAFETY & SAFEGUARDING

ONLINE SAFETY & SAFEGUARDING INFORMATION

Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. In our nursery setting, protecting children from harm, neglect or abuse is not just a legal requirement - it's a moral duty and a foundational commitment. Young children are among society’s most vulnerable, and they rely on us to create a safe, nurturing environment in which they can learn, explore, and grow. By maintaining robust policies, regular staff training, safe recruitment practices, clear communication channels, and close collaboration with families and local agencies, we ensure that any concern is spotted early and addressed swiftly. In doing so, we not only protect children in our care today but also help lay the groundwork for their confidence, well-being, and trust in others for life.

Have a question or concern about safeguarding?

If you would like to know more about our safeguarding procedures, or if you have any concerns about a child’s wellbeing, please speak to our
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or a member of the nursery team. We are always here to listen, support, and act quickly to ensure every child’s safety. For further details, please refer to our Safeguarding Policy or see our information board situated outside each nursery setting.

Online Safety at Our Nursery We understand that technology is a big part of children’s lives, even at a young age. Online safety is crucial to protect children from harmful content, inappropriate interactions, and online risks. At our nursery, we ensure that any digital devices, apps, or online learning tools used are carefully monitored and age-appropriate. We teach children the basics of staying safe online, encourage positive digital behaviour, and provide guidance to families on how to continue these practices at home. By working together, we help children enjoy technology safely while developing confidence and responsibility. Please refer to our Online Safety Policy.
